2864 Listings in the Eastern Monmouth MLS
Last week the count was 2846 and the week before it was 2837 and the week before that it was 2868. I can't tell if a trend is developing yet but will continue to post the count every Wednesday.
A chronicle of the collapse of the Jersey Shore real estate market, and elsewhere.

Take the listings count with a grain of salt. Realtors often "relist" a home under a different number if it's been on the market a while and hasn't sold. The idea is to make the listing appear "new" to those who haven't been looking for long.

I do take the listings with a grain of salt and agree with you that some realtors "relist" homes, etc.
However, I figure that realtors in San Diego and Boston and other hot markets must be doing the same, but inventories in those markets are definately showing an upward trend.
