Now You Have to Register to Comment

As a result of a number of infantile personal and denile of service attacks I am going to require that posters to the comment section register. Hopefully, once all of the idiots are scared away, I can resume anonymous posting again.

It is sad that this policy had to be instituted but as you pointed out, the behavior of a few results in the imposition of this limitation. Hopefully it won't discourage the postings that have created an informative and interesting dialog relating to the Kara Homes Bankruptcy.

Frankly I enjoyed the opportunity to intellectually spar with the person(s) you characterize as being an idiot. Not that it was really challenging but he/she made it so easy to prove to the outside world just how inadequately educated they were.

My hope, however naive it sounds, is that I've driven them back into the classroom where they can develop the sort of adult level skills I referenced in my earlier posting.

Thanks for the work you do in keeping this site interesting.

Take care,

SCProfessor

Moderator- while it's unfortunate that you were forced to take this step, in my opinion it'll be for the best. The Kara situation has generated a lot of emotion on all sides. As you can see, some are handling it better than others. It is too bad that some people have opted to use your web space as a launching pad for unfunny and irrelevant attacks on individuals they don't happen to like. It leads to nothing other than embarrassing, pointless rambling and those DOS attacks that end up killing the threads & annoying the moderator. Here's hoping it helps and assists in bringing these discussions back on topic, thanks.

well, good for you silver. i just wanted to wish you and everyone who is a regular here a wonderful and prosperous (not just monetary) holiday and new year! i'm very grateful that this blog has given me the opportunity to communicate some of my feelings. great article in the december 20-26 villiage voice about bottle service at nyc clubs. there's a part about how the real estate market affected the nyc nightlife, clubs, artists spaces, etc... the same thing is happening to the famous nj club scene. experts are saying with the slowing of the r.e. market, the club scene is starting to become real again and contribute again in nyc. let's hope the same thing happens in nj. peace

okay. one last little rant for '06. recently, miss usa was almost fired for going out, partying, and kissing another girl! ummm. well, maybe not the kiss but exuse me, isn't that what your normal 21 year old girl does? they go out and have fun?! she needs rehab? she has demons? give me a break. (yes, i think she might have had a drink at age 20, and yes, that is illegal and wrong) but to do that to her, was ridiculous. and...! miss nevada WAS fired for... kissing another girl at a club! the donald was quoted as saying that it was "disgusting" behavior. well, one young girl kissing another young consenting girl is not disgusting. not to me. and this is front page news! now, putting an m-16 in the hands of an 18 year old and sending him/her off to a meaningless war or worse yet, a war for some corporations - now that's disgusting! (i know this has nothing to do with r.e.) but, the irrationality does!

Sadly that is the result when you have idiots who like to read what they write but are unwilling to take credit for it.

So Karadise is alive and well for a few more months. Three jobs have been approved and funded for winterazation as well as construction. The end isn't as close as it seemed a few weeks ago.
Houses are closing and construction is taking place. The Prof might be amazed to learn the the work is being done by the unsecured creditors. That's right, their back and happy to be back. While they hit they have taken was substantial they are still drinking the Koolaid.
