There were 6 signs for open houses on 8th and Washington, and 4 on 9th and Washington.

A couple of weeks ago I saw one of those signs at 8th & Wash pointing west. Close inspection revealed the phrase "West Hoboken" (as a proper noun - not western Hoboken.)
Union City, baby! Hoboken Heights!
If the trend continues, Washington street will look like the Times Sqr of real estate advertizement by the summer.
It's interesting to see how these masses of "for sale" signs are the perfect mirror image of what happened back in the 90's when prices first starting shooting up and everyone was cashing out of their long-time homes to take advantage of the riches.
Only now it's going in the oppposite direction!
