Are There Really That Many People Moving Here?
Are there really that many people moving to the Shore that someone thinks they can make a killing building apartments in the middle of nowhere. Monmouth County is going to have the population density of Queens in a couple of years.
“TINTON FALLS — Two people were ejected Wednesday night from a special Planning Board meeting called to hear an application for 298 apartments proposed for 35 acres on Route 33.
The meeting was requested two weeks ago by the applicant, AvalonBay Communities of Woodbridge. The project includes 49 low- and moderate-income units and is included in the borough's state-certified affordable housing plan.”

It has been bugging me all time long, is there so many more new people moving into Monmouth and Ocean Counties during last years.
OK , there are some NYC commuters
buying in Monmouth County pushed out by prices in areas closer to the city, there some boomers probably buying Jersey Shore properties,
who don't like Miami heat and want to stay closer to the children,
but is it really such a big demand caused by these categories causing the prices grow so much ?
Ocean County commuters ? Is there such a thing ?
There are a ton of people that commute to the city from Ocean County. Last summer I got on the parkway near exit 100 at about 5:30 AM on a Wed. or Thurs. I was amazed that there was so much northbound traffic at that at hour. People commute from Brick to NYC like its nothing.
my lord..
spending 4 hours a day commuting is too much IMO.
All these newly built houses in Jackson catch my eye from time to time , but when I think about commuting from there, forget it.
