Does Anyone Have Any Interesting Anecdotes?
I would like to read some anecdotes that describes the state of the housing market here at the Jersey Shore. If you have any, please post them here.
Here is my anecdote. Two people that I know who currently live in eastern Monmouth County are selling out. One is moving to Western Monmouth County and the other to Ocean County. They are taking advantage of the high house prices where they live now and selling. Since they don't work in NYC, they feel they can move further away from NYC and get more for their money.
As long as you don't have to commute to the city, Ocean County and the sticks of Upper Freehold look pretty cheap compared to Shrewsbury, Ocean Township and the other towns east of Highway 9.

poor belmar! when will the mayor there stop!!! hasn't he sold out enough of the town to mcmansion people. yes, all he wants there is rich white people who; don't eat, don't like to have fun (there too busy making money) and, who can't dance! what a great fun town it was. once dj's goes, it will be all over. bring on the higher interest rates! stop the bubble and stop mayor pringle from destroying belmar and the fun it has brought so many of us and so many of us to come. i lived there for years, we used to love the summers with all of the kids and the new friends we would make and all of the fun! who needs snotty rich people!
oh yeah, why hasn't anyone notified the aclu about pringle with these crazy inhumane laws that are in clear violation of peoples civil rights? not just the beer game law, you can't holler hello at your neighbor in belmar (it's a $325 dollar ticket)! no joke! no warning is given, nothing. someone has to stop this guy.
