Listings at 3120, Down from 3141 Last Week

The number of listings on the Eastern Monmouth MLS dropped slightly for the first time since probably around August. I wonder if listings are being pulled ahead of seasonally slow holiday periods. I’m pretty sure that I have seen some information that shows December is one of the slowest periods of the year for listing and looking at houses, which makes sense.

As I understand it again it is ALWAYS supply & demand that rules. The demand may be emotionally based [I cna't the stress of looking/selling during the holidays] but still long term the s/d should dominant. We shall see. You all may be on top of everything OR this could be Phase II of Y2K

Yeah, it WOULD be instructive to know the cause of the dip.

But since your buddy GRIM reports that a similar decrease in inventory in NNJ can be traced back to expiring or yanked listings, I'll bet that the same thing is going on in EMC.
