The Eastern Monmouth MLS is Broke

This morning the count was 2877 compared to 2822 last week. However, tonight the count is down to 2465. This has happened before and I think it is due to some maintenance issues that the data base occasionally goes through.

I was wondering when this happened before, because it is in evidence across the board in Monmouth and Ocean counties. Here are Thursday numbers compared with early Wed.

EM 2482... 2868
WM 1539... 1429
SM 719... 642
OC 4406... 4539

I know there was a clear out of the listings before the New Year and inventory had risen about 2 percent before this anomaly. I was wondering if you have any historical perspective as to how the listings traditionally go in January and where we are at this year compared to last year.

Unfortunately I don't have last year's numbers.

I think the MLS database must repopulate occasionally and that's why we are seeing a drop today.
