Greetings Everyone,

It's quite an honor to be asked to be a guest blogger here. I am a regular reader and occasional contributor. I'm sure most readers here have visted my blog, and I know many of my readers are frequent visitors here.

I'm a North Jersey local, lived in Passaic County all my life. I'm a regular at the Jersey Shore as well, and have spent considerable time down on LBI (Beach Haven).

While most of my work has been concentrated on the counties that make up Northern NJ, I'm looking forward to diving into some Mid/S. Jersey statistics to see what is really going on.

If anyone comes across a relevant article in the press, or something on tv, please let me know about it, my email is:

Welcome, Grim! Do add some northern NJ insight in addition to the details on the southern NJ market. I live in Bergen County, where the only way I would be able to afford to buy a house would involve a bank heist and a time machine.

Glad to see you here Grim. Maybe you can play "lowball" here with us in Monmouth county. I live in a coastal community where things are really starting to s-l-o-w down. A house for $3,900,000. has been on the market since early last spring. I was tracking a home that started at $1,300,000, reduced to $1,150,000. then taken off the market.(I looked up the deed on that nifty site you gave us- the owners paid $885,000. in 2003) . Also a friend has a house for sale for $999,999. It has gone to contract 2 times but both fell through. Yet everyone is still chattering about how their houses are worth millions and millions- frogs in the pot. I am getting my real estate license only so I can have access to the MLS- although it really burns me up to have to join the NAR to have access.

Hey Everyone,

I wish I could, but I don't have access to the Southern NJ MLS data, I'm sorry. I'd need to work in conjunction with an agent or realtor in that area to access that
data.
